Ecology and sustainability
Tin alloys are considered food-safe from a purity of at least 93 % pure tin and are therefore very environmentally friendly. The alloys are processed without the use of chemical substances. Only beeswax is used as a lubricant during production and the minimal use of auxiliary materials is used in further processing.
This means that these pewter products can be returned and melted down without changing the alloys. New can always be created from old and thus sets standards in terms of sustainability.
For this reason, pewter products have a sustainable value, as they always retain their usefulness as a source of raw materials over time.
