Pewter Plate Albrecht Dürer „Praying Hands“

Description

This wonderfully crafted pewter plate with one of the most famous motifs of Albrecht Dürer. The "Praying Hands" is dedicated to a drawing of the artist from the year 1508. The praying hands; two flat hands together, they seem almost alive and give the viewer a lot of emotion. They symbolize the intimate moment of praying.

The large 12 cm motif decorates the entire center of the plate. The discreet rim of the plate nestles around the motif and draws the eye to the work of art.
